We are currently looking for a Blog Project Manager to join the Designit team that supports Microsoft Cloud Marketing Blog and Social. This world-class social team operates 100+ social media channels and 20+ marketing blogs designed for developers, IT decision makers, IT implementers, and business decision makers. Each month, we publish over 50 blog posts to help, inform, entertain, and engage customers across the globe. Azure, Power BI, Dynamics 365, and Microsoft 365 are just a few examples of the 170 innovative products and services that comprise the Cloud Marketing Blog and Social ecosystem.  

The ideal candidate is an experienced digital editorial project/content manager with demonstrated experience implementing and championing blogging best practices, processes, and governance in a high paced environment. This person is adaptable, a self-starter, and thrives on bringing their growth mindset and subject matter expertise to the table. This person loves to think strategically and analyze data to help stakeholders get more ROI (reach, views, and click-through rate) from their blogging efforts while managing expectations based on our team’s resources and capacity.   

Would you like to...

  • Act as subject matter expert for the blog(s) and blogging within Cloud Marketing to provide data-driven recommendations and best practices to the broader team and Microsoft stakeholders 
  • Support multiple stakeholders on the product marketing teams to publish relevant content that includes news, up-and-coming features, events, and more; And answer ad hoc questions relating to upcoming content planning, blogging best practices, process, SLAs, and reporting  
  • Partner closely with blog coordinators to manage the volume of blog content across multiple stakeholders; Delegate and distribute workload to ensure blogs meets publishing timing and SLAs 
  • Review and edit content from contributors to ensure proper brand voice, grammar, format, styling, and alignment with established blogging best practices and the Microsoft Writing Style Guide; Stage content on WordPress 
  • Help maintain the Cloud Marketing blog network content pipeline to plan what is coming and ensure alignment of editorial calendar across Microsoft stakeholders and teams  
  • Organize, schedule, and facilitate editorial meetings with stakeholders to get a broad view of planned content across the blog(s) and provide relevant content performance insights to stakeholders  
  • Partner closely with the Cloud Marketing social team and programming team to ensure blog posts are amplified across appropriate social channels  
  • Partner with the WordPress platform team on any platform-related issues and to implement new features/guidance and changes to the customer-facing tags on the blogs 
  • Maintain health of the blog, ensure new and maturing posts and pages are optimized 
  • Monitor, measure, and report blog performance against goals and objectives and collaborate with analytics team to interpret data into actionable insights, providing thoughtful, strategic recommendations 
  • Take on ad hoc projects as needed, ranging from basic data reporting requests to process and blog channel improvement efforts to documentation refresh efforts 

We would like you to have..

  • 3 – 6 years of experience in content management  
  • Minimum of 3 years of copy-editing or marketing experience CMS platform management experience (including WordPress)  
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook  
  • Experience analyzing data and providing data-driven recommendations in reports (Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console, Power BI experience preferred) 
  • Experience presenting to stakeholders, providing recommendations to improve content, and delivering KPI results  
  • Strong skills in attention to detail, task management, prioritization, multitasking, communication, and delegation 
  • Customer service experience and enterprise client contact experience preferred  
  • Experience with tech brands preferred

Compensation Range: $80, 000 - $85,000

This compensation range is indicative of the role. Compensation offered is on the basis of evaluation during interview process, the candidates range and depth of experience, business and market financials and internal pay parity.
