We are looking for an Technical Program Manager to join our tech client’s ecommerce operations team.

• We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager 5 with a specialized focus on Power BI to spearhead our data analytics initiatives. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving the strategic direction of our Power BI projects, ensuring that they align with business objectives and deliver tangible value to our clients. You will serve as the primary point of contact for all Power BI-related projects, leveraging your expertise to guide project teams and overcome challenges along the way.
  
  Your responsibilities will encompass the full project lifecycle, from initial scoping and requirements gathering to solution design, development, and deployment. You will work closely with stakeholders across various departments to understand their data analysis needs and translate them into actionable project plans. Your leadership will be paramount in orchestrating project resources, managing timelines, and mitigating risks to ensure successful project outcomes.

  Typical Day in the Role
  • Purpose of the Team: The team is building a notification framework that has models and codes that support it. They do data reporting analytics for the Microsoft commercial marketplace business.
  • Key projects: This role will contribute to being the product owner of their reporting portal, category management reporting and they will work with bi developers and stakeholders. This is for a Power BI Program Manager.
  • Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 20% meetings, 80% heads down.

  Candidate Requirements
  • Years of Experience Required: 10 overall years of experience in the field.
  • Previous experience at Microsoft is required for this role.
  • Must have done a similar role in their last two previous roles.
  • Degrees or certifications required: No degree is required to be eligible for this role.
  • Disqualifiers: Candidates without previous experience at Microsoft will not be eligible for the role.
  • Best vs. Average: The ideal candidate will have previously worked on large global applications. They will be quick and able to complete their work quickly.
  • Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on results and deliverables.
  
  Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
  1. Minimum 10 years experience with Program/Product/Project Management
  2. Minimum 10 years experience with Power BI.
  3. Minimum 10 years experience with communication with stakeholders and stakeholder management.
  
  Hard Skills Assessments
  • Expected Dates that Hard Skills Assessments will be scheduled: ASAP.
  • Hard Skills Assessment Process: The assessment process will include 1 round with the sponsor and possibly another colleague. 1 hour.
  • Required Candidate Preparation: Resume review and discussion of project management approaches.
