ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior .NET Developer at DEPT®, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our technology ecosystem and integrations around internal operational systems. Your expertise in the .NET framework and back-end architecture will help ensure the stability, performance, and scalability of our application.

You will work closely with other engineers to build, improve, and maintain a complex set of services that form the backbone of our organization. These services might provide standalone functionalities or act as integration layers between applications in our landscape. At DEPT®, we use a best-of-breed approach, leveraging off-the-shelf solutions for standard functions like authentication so we can focus on custom development that adds real value.

Clear and effective communication is a key part of this role. You will collaborate with other developers across the globe to solve technical challenges, discuss architectural decisions, and ensure consistency across our systems. Strong English skills are essential, as you will be participating in discussions, writing clear documentation, and working with international colleagues.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our homegrown PSA system that supports our internal operations, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and high-performing. You will work closely with fellow developers to discuss technical challenges, align on best practices, and improve overall code quality. Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry best practices is essential, along with producing clear documentation to support development, debugging, and future maintenance. You will help troubleshoot and resolve issues in both new and existing systems, ensuring minimal downtime. 

Additionally, you will work with CI/CD pipelines and Azure cloud services to streamline development and deployment while also supporting and gradually improving existing legacy systems built with ASP.NET, Entity Framework, and SOAP where necessary.

ABOUT YOU:

  • This position requires to be onsite in our Villa Crespo’s or Mar del Plata’s office once or twice a week, you have to live near one of those locations.
  • You will be working with global teams, therefore a conversational upper intermediate english level is required.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in the field of .NET;
  • Have experience with ASP.NET, Entity Framework, SOAP;
  • Have knowledge of database design, management and SQL;
  • Have knowledge of microservices architecture and Web API development;
  • Have strong OO programming skills; you are familiar with the SOLID coding principles and always strive to write easily testable and maintainable code;
  • Have experience with Azure cloud services;
  • Are able to maintain CI/CD code;
  • Have experience with developing applications and cache in a load balanced environment is a plus.
