JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for a skilled Financial Analyst to manage and optimize IT licensing and spend, working closely with the IT support team. This role focuses on performing financial analysis, tracking licensing costs, managing spend using tools like NetSuite, Expensify, and SpendHound, and ensuring governance around IT budgets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying trends, prioritizing clean-ups, generating insightful reports, and driving financial optimizations in IT licensing and software expenditure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Financial Analysis of IT Spend
- Perform in-depth financial analysis of IT licensing and software spend using tools such as NetSuite, Expensify, Pleo, SpendHound, and Okta.
- Perform quarterly analysis of IT Spend on company owned credit cards.
- Identify spending trends and variances to provide actionable insights for cost-saving initiatives.
- Analyze different licensing models and their financial impact to recommend optimal solutions.

- License and Spend Governance
- Ensure proper governance and compliance for IT licensing spend, adhering to company policies and industry standards.
- Collaborate with IT to track, verify, and control software licensing purchases and renewals.
- Develop processes to maintain accountability and transparency in IT expenditure.

- Cost Optimization and Reporting
- Create overview and continuous reports with a breakdown of license usage per business team.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings in IT licensing and software purchasing, negotiating with vendors when needed (joint efforts with Asset Owners and Global Heads of IT / Support).
- Track and report on financial savings achieved through better licensing and spend management.
- Work closely with IT to prioritize license clean-ups and consolidation efforts that can result in financial efficiencies.
- Use data from spend analysis tools to identify patterns, predict future trends, and make informed recommendations.
- Generate regular visualizations to clearly communicate financial performance metrics.

- Budget Tracking and Forecasting
- Collaborate with the finance team to maintain accurate records of IT spend and provide forecasts for future budget requirements.
- Regularly review and audit IT expenses, ensuring that they align with the allocated budget and business objectives.
- Contribute to the preparation of financial forecasts and reports to senior management.

- Client Related Costs Analysis
- Check if licensing / cloud costs needed for client projects are passed through and with the right markup
- Check if subscriptions are canceled (or downscaled) when a client project stops to exist.
- Work with Operational Directors to identify areas where costs can be passed through to clients.

In this role you work closely together with an IT Support Specialist that has a focus on account & license management. Also, close collaboration with FP&A and Operations is required to ensure we get a holistic overview on IT spend and purposes.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis.
- Proficiency with financial tools and software.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, trend forecasting, and budgeting.
- Ability to create understandable reports and financial presentations for stakeholders.
- Experience working in a cross-functional environment, particularly with IT teams is preferred.
- Familiarity with vendor management and contract negotiations is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear recommendations.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, capable of managing multiple financial projects simultaneously.
- Collaborative mindset, working effectively across teams to achieve shared financial and operational goals.
