Responsibilities:

  • Leads the Systems Administration team to provide continual network performance, including stability testing, firmware upgrades, monitoring, and general troubleshooting
  • Providing direction & mentoring to Junior Systems Administrator within the SysAd function
  • Involved in key decision making for Depop IT & forms IT Leadership at Depop
  • Provide 3rd line support for the business
  • Takes ownership of endpoints at Depop, providing continuous improvement over endpoint security & management
  • Working predominantly on IT projects - cross-company migration work, Okta, office move/expansion, on-prem & cloud-based technologies, macOS continuous improvement
  • Play a key role in building and defining IT’s cloud infrastructure for tooling (AWS preferred)
  • Identification & automation of time-consuming processes for the business and IT team (using Python, Bash, Powershell or similar)
  • Document management, improvement and ownership of relevant Confluence spaces (internal and external IT SysAdmin & Support spaces)
  • Work alongside parent company & subsidiaries’ IT functions to implement and rollout migrations into new services.
  • Manage IAM within Okta, relating to G Suite, Jira, AWS and a wide range of business services.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in Systems Administration
  • Adopts a team-first approach but should be able to work autonomously & self-manage projects
  • Experience with mentoring junior team members with a view to progressing their skills & knowledge at all times
  • Worked cross-functionally with various teams on vendor due diligence
  • Have a basic understanding & practical usage of at least one project management methodology (Agile preferred)
  • Good understanding of at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, Powershell or similar) & the ability to work with APIs
  • Strong experience administering Google Workspace with GAM familiarity being beneficial
  • Strong experience administering an Apple MDM (Jamf preferred)
  • Strong experience owning & managing an office network stack (we use Cisco Meraki) - Layer 2 & 3 networking, VLANs, NAT, DHCP, DNS, STP and firewall
  • Knowledge of Git
  • Experience with Endpoint Protection software (Crowdstrike preferred)
  • Familiarity with change management processes, including comfort with company-wide comms
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems
  • Continuous improvement mindset and approach to working
  • A diligent and proactive approach to testing, implementation & documentation
  • Security awareness
  • Desire to learn, improve & automate
  •  

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Disaster Recovery processes
  • Practical understanding of IaC (Terraform and Ansible)
