The Role

Depop is looking for a PR Executive to join our global PR team and manage all UK-related PR activities. Supporting the Head of PR, this position has the opportunity to develop a unique communications skillset, working across fashion, consumer, tech and corporate, to increase brand awareness amongst national and regional media. You will play a key role within the UK Marketing team, and make a significant contribution to the growth and direction of Depop in its leading territory. 

Responsibilities:

  • Project manage ongoing UK communications priorities
  • Oversee and manage UK PR agencies, advising on communications support for UK campaigns, partnerships, events and PR-led activations through always-on efforts that translate into consistent media placements
  • Identify and present press opportunities where Depop and our community of sellers will resonate and ultimately drive earned media
  • Contribute to press material development as it relates to executive talking points and briefings, award submissions, statements, Q&As, and general pitching
  • Lead in PR reporting for the UK, working with the agencies and Head of PR to deliver clear team- and company-wide reports
  • Act as an ambassador for Depop in the UK, fortifying relationships with key media; tastemakers, and influencers that may generate press worthy opportunities for Depop
  • Represent the PR team in the UK in a cross-functional manner

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years’ experience ideally in fashion, corporate or consumer PR & communications
  • Have an existing network of industry contacts (media, influencers) and relationships
  • Proven experience in executing successful localised PR strategies for global brands, experience with fashion and tech brands is a plus
  • Understanding of the media landscape in the UK (both regionally and nationally) and the fashion industry at-large and is culturally aware of current trends
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management and multitasking
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communications skills
