Job Summary: The Director of Multi-Cultural and Growth Marketing is responsible for leading organizations efforts to reaching and engaging diverse audiences. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership skills, a passion for promoting diversity in sports, and strong growth marketing experience. This position will manage all aspects of the Broncos Hispanic marketing efforts on both a local and international level with ownership of all responsibilities related to the NFLs Global Markets Program (GMP) in Mexico.

                                                                                                                                                                                                              

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee all Hispanic Marketing efforts by:
    • Developing and implementing a comprehensive multicultural marketing strategy to enhance brand awareness, fan acquisition and fan engagement among diverse audiences both locally and in Mexico.
    • Lead all efforts and activations (digital and on-the-ground) related to the GMP program with the creation of culturally relevant content (i.e. social & podcasts) and campaigns that resonate with fans in Mexico.
    • Manage social and experiential agency relationships in Mexico.
    • Hire and manage roster of Spanish-speaking talent in US and Mexico.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sponsorship, PR, digital/social and community relations to ensure cohesive and effective multicultural marketing initiatives.
    • Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify opportunities for growth and engagement within multicultural communities locally and in Mexico.
    • Serve as team liaison with NFL Mexico Staff, International team at NFL HQ, Mexico retail outlets and Fan Groups.
    • Prioritize building and maintaining strong relationships with local Hispanic leaders, multicultural media outlets, influencers, and community organizations, inclusive of managing Spanish-language radio partner.
    • Responsible for the creation and execution of a year-round engagement calendar of local Hispanic initiatives inclusive of viewing parties, Hispanic Heritage Month programming/celebrations, appearances at local Hispanic events and gameday activations.
    • Work closely with sponsorship team to present and support the monetization of all Hispanic marketing opportunities.
    • Handle organizational Spanish translation needs.
    • Manage the multicultural marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve strategic goals.
    • Supervise and mentor a Marketing Coordinator dedicated to the aforementioned efforts.
  • Oversee Broncos Fan Growth Marketing efforts focused on acquisition of fans in key demographic segments by:
    • Developing and executing strategies and impactful engagement initiatives to grow our youth and female fan bases.
    • Partner with our community department and help amplify current community outreach programs focused on youth and our flag football programs
    • Iterate and validate different ways to reach new, retain current, and grow affinity of youth and female fans (eg, test across channels)
    • Contributing to development of cohesive and collaborative influencer strategy to amplify the Broncos’ reach and engagement efforts targeting key demographic segments
    • Identifying local community events targeting youth and female audiences and facilitating a Broncos presence to engage with target audiences
    • Overseeing NFL initiatives at team-level focused on youth and female fan acquisition (i.e. Madden)
  • Provide Direct Support to Sr. Director of Marketing on Strategy development and deployment for key department initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related field.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to solve complex marketing challenges.
  • Marketing experience in growing and scaling fans (or customers)
  • Knowledge and experience with Influencer Marketing
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience with a focus on marketing processes which drive both fan acquisition & engagement, inclusive of 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Deep understanding of cultural diversity and proven track record of creating inclusive multicultural marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Experience marketing to youth, females and other diverse segments, with the ability to create inclusive engagement strategies.

Preferred Skills & Ability:

  • Fluency in Spanish (verbal & written)
  • Previous experience in marketing at a professional sports team (NFL a plus) with a passion for sports and a deep understanding of the sports industry.
  • Superior writing skills and ability to write comprehensive Power Point presentations.
  • A self-starter who can multitask, reacts well under pressure and is able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to foster an environment for growth, learning and problem solving with direct reports
  • Excellent communications skills, including public speaking, meeting facilitation and presentations.
  • Ability and desire to utilize the input of customer insights and data/analytics to drive strategy and decision making.
  • Knowledge of all social/digital media platforms and content strategies
  • Experience in budget management and fiscal responsibility.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and all Broncos Home games.
  • Ability to travel Internationally, as necessary.

 

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, bilingual fluency in Spanish, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
