We are excited to hire a Team Reporter/Producer! The team reporter/producer will be responsible for producing original video and audio content for the Denver Broncos’ digital platforms by conceptualizing creative content, proposing ideas, covering, shooting and editing news/feature content. This position plays an integral role in the Content & Production department’s efforts of covering the team and promoting various football/business/league initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Produces original video content for the Denver Broncos’ digital platforms by:
    • Generating social-friendly content ideas to creatively serve football/fan interests while fulfilling internal digital needs to support business/community/league initiatives;
    • Covering, shooting, producing and editing both casual/social-friendly and news/feature content (to include practice, postgame, and press conferences) to appear primarily on Broncos digital channels
    • Interviewing team personnel, including players, coaches and executives
    • Executing digital marketing campaigns for team partners/sponsors;
    • Providing tape feeds and other requested content to NFL Digital Media.
  • Assist with off-site team event coverage, including football activities, community programs, business initiatives and personal feature stories by:
    • Traveling as needed to road games, NFL Scouting Combine, League Meetings and other team and/or community events.
  • Contributes to department team efforts by:
    • Assisting with department priorities/initiatives
    • Collaborating with other department team members
    • Identifying trends in the industry and making recommendations for improvement
    • Hosting game-day content and internal events

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism (broadcast production), communications or other related field
  • Minimum of two to three years of video production experience working for a sports organization, TV station sports department or other relevant digital enterprise
  • Ability to work flexible/long hours (early mornings, late evenings, weekends, holidays)

Preferred Skills & Ability:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel for work assignments and games
  • Professional expertise with use of broadcast ENG cameras; Knowledge of lighting techniques; Live streaming experience with LIVE-U packs a plus
  • Professional expertise in editing software, including Adobe Premiere and Final Cut; Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Problem-solving skills, attention to detail and capacity to thrive in pressure situations
  • Highly motivated, organized, ability to take direction under deadlines
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Knowledge of the game of football (game rules, statistics, league trends), social media platforms and analytics tools
  • Social-first mindset, with the ability to produce real-time vertical content

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary for this role is $65,000 - $75,000. This position will be required to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and holidays outside of a normal working hours as needed. 

This position will be located at Broncos Park Powered by CommonSpirit in Englewood, CO.
