JOB SUMMARY: The Broncos Flag Runners are a 9-member team. This energetic and fun group is crucial to add energy to the game day experience by celebrating touchdowns, fan prompts, and leading the team on the field while creating an enjoyable experience for all those in attendance. In addition, the flag runners will act as production assistants during pregame, assist with the large flag volunteers, Promotions check in tent, and the tunnel set up. The flag runner team will engage with fans and promote the Broncos message and initiatives in a unique and exciting way. The flag runner team will be responsible for bringing the energy and performing physical duties in front of more than 76,000 fans each game, rain or shine.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Bring energy to game day experience as a Flag Runner by:
- Carrying flags for all Broncos home game
- Participate in a choreographed pregame ceremony highlighting members of the Game Entertainment teams
- Leading the team out of the tunnel for team intros
- Following Thunder down the field after Broncos Scores (Touchdowns and Field Goals)
- Working with Denver Broncos cheerleaders, Miles, and Stampede to lead the crowd in fan prompts including “GO BRONCOS” and “In-com-plete”
Participates in pregame production by:
- Assisting with pre-game preparation
- Assisting the promotions team in running the Promotions check in tent during pregame
- Working with the Game Entertainment Assistant to organize and execute the Broncos and American flag and volunteers
- Assisting stadium operations with the setup of the team tunnel
- Performing additional duties as assigned by Game Entertainment Manager
Contributes to marketing department team efforts by:
- Completing additional duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to carry and run with a large flag weighing a minimum of 8 pounds
- Must be able to run at least 110 yards without stopping while carrying the large flag
- Must be able to run the flag in various weather conditions (i.e. wind, rain, snow)
- Must be available for all Denver Broncos home games
- Must bring energetic and upbeat attitude to each home game
- Ability to stand or sit for an extended period, walking, lifting, and working outside in various weather conditions
- Must be 18 years of age or older
PREFERRED SKILLS AND ABILITY
- Desire to work in team-oriented environment
- Ability to work with little supervision – self-motivated and energetic
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the hourly rate will be $18.29.
The Denver Broncos Football Club offers Paid Time Off 1 hour for every 30 hours worked and a 401(K) matching program once you reach 1,000 hours in the plan year.
