Located at dentalcorp’s Toronto Support Centre and reporting to the IT Director. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in systems and network security, along with excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.

Role overview

  • Providing leadership, guidance, and training to information systems security personnel
  • Monitor all operations and infrastructure through alerts and logs to keep an eye on organization’s digital security footprint
  • Maintain all security tools and technology
  • Monitor internal and external policy compliance
  • Help to design, implement, and maintain the organization’s cyber-security plan
  • Monitor regulation compliance
  • Work with different departments in the organization to reduce risk
  • Implement new technology
  • Audit policies and controls continuously
  • Ensure cybersecurity stays on organizational radar
  • Present and conduct regular cyber security training to Support Centre and practices
  • Detail out security incident response program
  • Develop and direct implementation of security standards and best practices for the organization
  • Oversee information security audits, whether by performed by organization or third-party personnel
  • Assess current technology architecture for vulnerabilities, weaknesses and for possible upgrades or improvement

What we’re looking for

  • 5 or more years of systems and network security experience required
  • 1 or more years of managerial experience preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science is required
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with people at every level and in every department are essential
  • Candidates with certification in information security (CISSP, CSSLP, CCFP, CISM, etc.) or comparable work experience will be given preference
