About the Opportunity

Democracy Prep at the Agassi Campus (DPAC) is a college prep institution whose mission is to educate responsible citizen-scholars for success in the college of their choice and a life of active citizenship.  Core to achieving this is supporting our scholars through the college application process. Working with our scholars, families, and school teams, the College Counselor will ensure a systematic, proactive, and efficient college research and application process.  The College Counselor works with scholars from the beginning of their junior year to the finalization of the college matriculation process at the end of 12th grade, ensuring 100% of seniors apply and are accepted to the best-fit four-year college. The counselor will also support students who plan to pursue non-college post-secondary pathways including civil service, military, internships and career training. Ultimately the College Counselor will ensure that 100% of students will have a strong post-secondary plan.

The college counselor works with students in both individual advising and in classroom settings.
