A dedicated individual with experience working on a political or issues-based campaign, canvassing in urban communities/person-to-person organizing.
Advanced proficiency in Spanish (preferred) and/or French.
What You’ll Do
Recruiting students within the community by canvassing the area via:
Tabling and approaching people
Building relationships with small-business owners, community-based organizations and other learning institutions as needed
Collecting and recording data about their interactions and experiences in the community
Candidate must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to Canvassing locations
Requirements and Qualifications:
Associates Degree required from an accredited institution
Excellent communication skills including eloquence, active listening and interpersonal skills
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel extensively
Ability to work within a team and independently based on employer requirements
Good time management skills to fulfill quotas within a specific period
Must have physical stamina to stand and walk for long periods, meeting and talking to people
