What You’ll Do
Create an inclusive school community by engaging in training, reflection, and dialogue around issues of race, identity, diversity, equity, and inclusion for our staff and scholars.
Maintain upkeep and order of the library by ensuring cleanliness, shelving and cataloging all the books, and managing the upkeep of tech (laptops).
Track and analyze scholar reading data from our online platform, create competitions and incentives to encourage scholars to read more, and publicly celebrate scholar accomplishments through posters and messages, and at weekly assemblies.
Create a positive, orderly experience for your school and scholars by managing a welcoming, quiet and studious atmosphere in the library with a clearly communicated library schedule.
Advise young readers on how to find just-right books with the support of teachers and help groups of scholars find, check out and return books.
Assist scholars with basic technology and research skills to aid in completion of some academic projects.
Consult with teachers and team leaders to integrate library services and multimedia materials with classroom curriculum.
Serve as a technology resource and proactively train and assist staff in learning to effectively use key classroom technologies.
Develop and maintain systems of respectful technology use by scholars and staff.
Troubleshoot and develop preventative maintenance systems for all school technology, including but not limited to laptops, copiers, printers, smartphones, projectors, interactive whiteboards, etc.
Diligently manage the inventory and movement of all school technology
In collaboration with instructional leaders, manage the exploration and purchasing of new technologies.
