By the 2019-20 school year, Democracy Prep will have over 20 schools in multiple regions such as Baton Rouge, Camden, Las Vegas, New York City, and San Antonio. For successful expansion, we need strong operations leaders to support the School Leader. The Operations Fellow is an emerging operations leader who will support an existing school while also receiving on-the-job training in an Operations Residency. The Ops Fellow will then have an opportunity to join either a founding or existing Operations team.
Overview of the Operations Fellow Role
The Fellowship is an intensive leadership preparation program to equip, honor and push the Ops Fellow in planning to launch, turnaround or join an existing Democracy Prep school. The Fellow will be based in one of our current schools, and will be responsible for regularly auditing and improving current systems, and learning best practices. In addition, the Fellow will receive ongoing leadership development and coaching from both the Senior Director of Operations and Facilities and the Chief People Officer.
