What You’ll Do
Monitor, manage and hold scholars accountable to the expectations of the DREAM Office. The DREAM Office is a space for reflection and processing of disciplinary referrals. It plays a central role in supporting the academic achievement and character development of our scholars. Although scholars may, at times, seek a different location for emotional support, in general, they should not want to spend time in the DREAM Office. Classroom instruction must be maximized at all costs and the DREAM Office must be run in such a way that it does not facilitate casual hanging out and it does not become a space that scholars want to retreat to, rather than being in class.
Create, monitor and sustain a disciplined school culture of high academic and behavioral standards.
Implement consistent school-wide management practices for all students and individualized management plans incorporating discipline, structure, appropriate incentives, and high expectations.
Assume personal responsibility for the academic and social progress of all students.
Communicate effectively and maintain strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
Schedule and manage details of Scholar Support Team meetings.
In partnership with school leader, coach teachers who are struggling with upholding high expectations
Manage positive behavior programs and incentives
