Duties: Responsible for helping to develop and maintain the backend that powers our ABX cloud, primarily with Scala microservices. Work on a cross-functional team consisting of Product Managers, UX engineers, and FE & BE engineers to design, develop, test, and release rich and robust new functionality based around sophisticated ML-driven analytics and complex orchestration flows to drive sales and marketing automation. Work with Cloud Ops and QA to jointly own industry standard build-, test-, and deploy-pipelines, driving for best-in-class release processes. Work with more senior engineers to break down technical design documents into actionable project plans and then execute on those plans. Demonstrate dedication towards ownership of features and systems all the way to production, and work closely with FE/full stack engineers as well as UX and Product.
Education: Master’s or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field (e.g. Electrical Engineering)
Experience: 3 years of experience in job offered or related occupation
Special Requirements: Must have at least 1 year of prior work experience in each of the following:
Building production-grade microservices using Scala and Java.
Building APIs atop RDBMS and full-stack development.
Data processing and analysis tools Spark, Dataflow, or BigQuery.
Orchestration systems Kubernetes or Mesos, along with other operations tools commonly used in CI/CD pipelines.
Improving the development environment to boost developer efficiency, by means such as reducing on-call burdens and cutting infrastructure costs.
Designing and building enterprise-level, revenue-generating products including ad delivery systems, ad targeting, and ad experimentation.

Salary range: $182,000 to $211,270 per year
