The world’s largest and fastest-growing companies such as Accenture, Adobe, DocuSign and Salesforce rely on Demandbase to drive their Account-Based Marketing strategy and maximize their B2B marketing performance. We pioneered the ABM category nearly a decade ago, and today we lead the category as an indispensable part of the B2B MarTech stack. Our achievements and innovation would not be possible without the driven and collaborative teams here at Demandbase. As a company, we’re as committed to growing careers as we are to building word-class technology. We invest heavily in people, our culture and the community around us, and have continuously been recognized as one of the best places to work in the Bay Area.
We run a variety of applications (Scala, Python, NodeJS, Ruby, and Java) and data pipelines across multiple public clouds (AWS and GCP). Knowing that we use a mix of Terraform for configuration management, Kubernetes for container orchestration, and Spark/Airflow/EMR for data pipelines, it’s important that you have at least some experience with AWS and GCP, config management systems, CI/CD frameworks, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and very strong coding skills.
You will have a laser focus on PostgreSQL though, this is a hard requirement.
What we’re looking for:
You must have 5+ total years' experience working in Site Reliability, Infrastructure, or Software Engineering with increasing responsibility and integration with product development teams.
2+ of those years should be in a Database Administrator role focused on PostgreSQL. Past experience in software engineering is a plus.
You will provide query optimization and schema guidance for product development teams. This includes data modeling, index usage, partitioning, and caching strategies. You will own all aspects of our PostgreSQL deployment including monitoring and alerting, capacity planning, HA/fail-over, architecture, configuration, etc. Of course, you must also have extensive experience configuring and maintaining Linux servers while using telemetry to ensure the performance of internal and external-facing production applications that run on them. Finally, it would be great if you also have experience configuring and tuning other critical infrastructure such as Redis (Elasticache), Aerospike, BigQuery, BigTable, and MySQL.
This position is located onsite in our San Francisco office Monday-Friday. This is not a remote role.
