Team: UKI Operations

The Team

The UK & Ireland are our domestic and most mature markets. Functions include commercial, operations, and marketing, and teams in the UK&I partner closely with global functions such as product, technology, marketplace, and consumer to deliver results for our customers.

The Live Network Management team sits within the UK&I Planning and Performance Team and is responsible for the performance and efficiency of the delivery network across multiple markets. This includes rider planning, logistics, incentives, and rider fee pricing. Deliveroo’s on-demand operations are incredibly complex with many moving parts, so it will be your job to use your skills in data and analytics to unpick these moving parts and provide strategic solutions to unlock growth and profit.

The Role:

As an Operations Analyst within the Planning & Performance team, you will play a crucial role in designing and using frameworks to make decisions that will positively impact the delivery network. You’ll be directly responsible for improving the reliability, availability, and efficiency of the network in several of our global markets.

Your primary focus will be on monitoring the performance of our delivery network and making real-time adjustments to improve its reliability. You will work within a budget, allocating spend to maximise network efficiency. Additionally, you will follow incident protocols for substantial events impacting the delivery network and support data-led project work in collaboration with our team of Regional Operations Managers (ROMs).

Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with other members of the Planning & Performance team, as well as wider teams within UKI Operations and Global Operations, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our riders, restaurants, and customers. This role will involve significant cross-functional collaboration, including working with Supply, Rider pricing, Content, Engagement, and Network teams to develop regional and national initiatives.

    • Work within a budget, allocating spend to maximise network efficiency.
    • Follow incident protocols for substantial events impacting the delivery network.
  • Data-Driven Project Support:

Requirements:

  • Ideally, experience in live operations, customer care, or a similar role with real-time responsibilities. This role would be suitable at entry level.
  • Calm under pressure and able to perform in a pressurised environment.
  • Adept at learning new tools and able to understand data in various forms.
  • Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets and have a passion for detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can easily adapt to change.
  • Strong team player but can work autonomously.
  • Willing to work in a shift pattern schedule which includes evenings and weekends.

We are a technology-driven company at the forefront of the most rapidly expanding industry in the world. We are still a small team, making a very large impact, seeking to answer some of the most interesting questions out there. We move fast, value autonomy and ownership, and we are always looking for new ideas.

Benefits and Diversity

At Deliveroo, we know that people are the heart of the business and we prioritise their welfare. We offer a wide range of competitive benefits in areas including health, family, finance, community, convenience, growth, time away, and relocation.
