Strategy Associate - Operations Finance

Purpose of Job:
The Senior Associate provides financial support to the operations department, develops and implements financial policies and procedures, monitors financial metrics, and prepares reports for decision-making. This role processes payrolls, manages budgets,supports audits, and creates financial models to support strategic initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

• Calculate the monthly earnings for the Deliveroo rider fleet accurately and process payroll efficiently ensuring timely and accurate payments.  
• Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, identifying trends and recommending actions to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process by analyzing financial data and providing insights on potential risks and opportunities.
• Prepare financial models and business cases to support strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations for optimizing business operations.
• Support the Finance Manager in ad-hoc financial analyses and projects as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and recommend actions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Google sheets and other financial software applications.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• ACCA, CPA or CFA qualification is a plus.
