Deliveroo’s Global Brand & Country Marketing Team is looking for a Senior Program Manager, Marketing to join the team. This role reports directly to the VP of Marketing and sits within the wider Global Marketplace & Consumer Organisation. 

The Senior Program Manager, Marketing supports the VP Marketing with the day to day running of the Global Marketing organisation by driving strategic projects and processes forward.  The Senior Program Manager, Marketing partners with a broad range of stakeholders across the Consumer Org and across the broader Deliveroo Group, to ensure that the VP Marketing is effective in her role. 

This is a key role in our Global Marketing organisation - the desired candidate will be pivotal in building the growing global marketing organisation. They will be curious to understand what’s working and what can be improved - and will demonstrate bias for action to drive change. The right candidate will demonstrate a passion for motivating and enabling a high performing team through the right processes, programmes and tools, and ensuring Global Marketing is a great place to work.


What you'll be doing:

  • Support VP Marketing and Global Marketing Leadership Team members with delivery of Global Marketing strategy and related goals and deliverables, including joining up dots across respective deliverables
  • Support VP Marketing with delivery of strategic projects, the set up of new processes for the marketing organisation, and ad hoc initiatives that arise
  • Partner with Finance to support design and delivery of key financial & strategic planning processes, including but not limited to financial planning
  • Drive the annual roadmapping and goal setting process across the teams, and drive operational efficiencies
  • Partner with EA to ensure the VP Marketing’s time is effectively managed and best utilised, including acting as a gatekeeper / filter for requests and ensuring sufficient preparation / thinking time
  • Partner with broad range of stakeholders across the org to ensure setting and tracking of milestones to prepare for key internal and external meetings / interactions, including supporting with preparation of key papers / inputs 
  • Support VP Marketing with organisational leadership and people management, including employee engagement initiatives and employee communications, supporting senior recruitment activity etc. 
  • Partner with EA to organise team events, including but not limited to off-sites, All-Hands and international visits
  • Support with management of external profile of the Deliveroo marketing organisation, including prep for public speaking engagements
  • Review proposals and papers and highlight and summarise salient points
  • Partner with EA to ensure Marketing Leadership meetings are effective and follow up actions are taken / progressed
  • Supporting the team to drive a data driven culture as well as creative and operational excellence
  • Supporting the VP Marketing to connect to key stakeholders across all our markets and driving a strong team spirit across the global and local marketing organisation
  • Prepare decks for team comms / Marketplace LT comms


About you:

  • Has experience ideally from a combination of consultancy, strategy and/or chief of staff and operational roles, including:
  • Operational experience leading and driving improvements and/or change management initiatives at scale in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Experience at a top-tier consultancy, or equivalent experience showing a strong track record of problem-solving, project management and business analysis in a variety of contexts
  • Experience organising and directing multiple teams
  • Has a strong bias for action and can-do attitude, with the ability (and curiosity) to connect the dots between different workstreams, data sources, and teams
  • Is very competent with data and can use it to understand problems and identify opportunities/ solutions
  • Has a strong track record of project management in a matrix organisation
  • Has strong verbal communication skills with the ability to influence others one to one and in wider groups, and interact with exec level leadership
  • Has excellent written communication skills with the ability to craft a clear and concise memo/ one pagers starting from an ambiguous problem and design compelling slide presentations
  • Can prioritise effectively as well as lead multiple project workstreams concurrently and independently
  • Has experience in building effective team mechanisms for high performing teams
  • Has effective presentation skills in terms of speed and quality of output
  • Experience in consumer/ marketing is preferred but not a must
