When you first think about Deliveroo, you probably think of getting great food to your house in less than half an hour. Awesome right? But behind the scenes is the real story.  This story is one of high growth, huge challenges and an enormous opportunity ahead of us. It began with our founder Will, arriving in London over 5 years ago and finding it almost impossible to order great food, despite the wealth of incredible restaurants in the city. Fast forward 5 years and we operate in 14 countries with over 60,000 riders who deliver orders from 80,000 restaurants in over 500 cities worldwide.


The Role

As the scale of Deliveroo France grows, we’re looking for a Promotions Manager to join our Marketing team, reporting into the Head of National Marketing Activations.

You will be responsible for crafting and implementing the French promotional strategy for our consumers. You will help set our experimentation agenda, helping us achieve a deeper understanding of the types of promo mechanics and discounts we should run to drive customer acquisition and growth, improve value-for-money perception (or drive other key objectives), whilst also being financially sustainable. 

Success in this role will require being a confident self-starter, applying a data-driven lens to solving challenges in the promo space, and driving to fast execution and strong collaboration skills. 

What you’ll be doing

  • Drive a set of strategic initiatives: frame the problems, approach, priorities, success metrics and report on progress. 

  • Perform regular competitive benchmarking on offers/discounts/merchandising

  • Recommend changes to Deliveroo’s promotional and discounting strategy based on your analysis and your benchmark of the competition practices

  • Work with the team to articulate programs of experimentation to deepen our understanding of promos  and the role they play:

    • Work with Central team to ensure systematic analysis of effectiveness of different offer types/discount depths and mechanics 

    • Understand role of promos on consumer’s perception of price and value for money

    • Understand impact on incrementality 

  • Collaborate with the Loyalty, CRM, Performance marketing, and Media Team to ensure the best execution and communication of all our promotions and Test and learn

  • Work hand in hand with Central Promotions teams to launch experiments and follow up analysis to assess the effectiveness of discount-related campaigns

  • Collaborate with the Hyperlocal Marketing team to build wider oversight of Deliveroo-funded discounting mechanics and manage planning 

  • Build budget to drive smarter investments and follow up spend with Finance Teams


  • 3-5 years work experience, ideally in strategy/consulting and/or with relevant operational experience in the promotional strategy/discounting space

  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen

  • Excellent project management and communication skills including the ability to influence stakeholders

  • Can-do, problem-solving attitude, with a bias towards action

  • Fluent in English 


Preferred but not required

  • Experience working with multi-country teams

  • Experience with marketplace businesses or promotionally-driven high-growth business environments
