The team behind Deliveroo Hop are building a network of stores across London, the UK and other markets. The role 

We’re looking for a Growth Marketing Strategy Manager to join the Deliveroo Hop team.

Reporting to the Global Marketing Director (Hop), this role will be responsible for refining and owning the marketing growth strategies used for Deliveroo’s dark-store grocery business.

 

We are seeking a strategic, problem-solver and a doer, someone comfortable leading change, mobilising the organisation and taking ownership of the impact. You’ll work closely with the rest of the Hop Marketing team, Product, Consumer & Global Marketing teams to attract & retain customers to Hop. 

What you’ll be doing

The Growth Marketing Strategy Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the development of the growth marketing strategies for the acquisition and retention of Hop customers while ensuring all channel investment and initiatives have clear goals that ladder up to the overall business plan and strategy
  • Building a strong results-focused test & learn programme, working with the Hop Marketing team and global channel owners to execute
  • Monitor and report performance against the business plan, understanding and sharing the root causes of either underperformance or overperformance, and putting actions in place where necessary
  • Working with the marketing channel owners to ideate, scope and deliver scalable programs to boost Hop customer acquisition, drive customer loyalty, retention & frequency of purchase, and reduce churn
  • Spot new marketing opportunities, working them up into experiments or projects and driving execution through cross-functional squads
  • Working with the Brand Strategy Manager to ensure that all growth marketing assets drive a consistent brand experience across the marketing mix
  • Work closely with the Customer Insights and Data Science teams to develop a solid understanding of our multiple customer segments and missions. On the back of this, consider the implications on your strategy

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a creative, strategic and organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment

  • At least 5 years of experience in a combination of consultancy, strategy or marketing roles, including:
    • Experience at a top-tier consultancy, or equivalent experience showing a strong track record of problem-solving and business results in a variety of contexts
    • Growth marketing, digital or other fast paced business in a marketing role
  • In-depth understanding of the different marketing channels and a clear view on which channels to use to activate marketing activity that supports business objectives
  • Have knowledge of paid search and social strategies using platforms like Google, Facebook, Instagram etc
  • Successful track record in collaborating with both HQ teams and country teams and experience doing so in a matrixed organisation, as well as in influencing stakeholders at all levels of the org, including front-line teams and the exec 
  • Ability to spin MANY plates 
  • Creativity and an innovative mindset, combined with realism and executional pragmatism
  • Strong communication skills, across all forms and media
  • Ability to think big and push teams to activate campaigns in innovative ways
  • Problem solver with a can-do attitude, happy to work autonomously
  • Experience working with multiple markets, preferably across Europe, the Middle East and APAC
  • Enthusiastic and collaborative team player
