When you first think about Deliveroo, you probably think of getting great food to your house in less than half an hour. Awesome right? But behind the scenes is the real story. This story is one of high growth, huge challenges and an enormous opportunity ahead of us. It began with our founder Will, arriving in London in 2004 and finding it almost impossible to order great food, despite the wealth of incredible restaurants in the city. In 2013 Deliveroo was launched. Fast forward to 2022 and we operate in 12 markets with over 60,000 riders who deliver orders from 60,000 restaurants in over 500 cities worldwide.

We work with riders, restaurants and consumers. We operate one of the most complex three-sided marketplaces in the world and we do this in real time. Millions of customers and thousands of restaurants and riders rely on us to match them within milliseconds. The algorithms behind that marketplace are the secret sauce that allows us to deliver our orders in around 30 minutes.

What you’ll be doing @ Deliveroo for Work

We are offering a permanent contract

Deliveroo for Work is a “start-up” within Deliveroo. Companies can create with us a business account, providing them with many benefits and perks, such as an invoice at the end of the month. The Business Development Manager is the backbone of Deliveroo for Work, tasked with signing up companies to the Deliveroo for Work business account. The BD manager is relentless in his pursuit of companies and is responsible for executing the entire sales cycle, from lead sourcing, to follow-ups to closing deals.

This is a role for a smart, motivated, self-starter to develop his/her sales career for a leading company within its market sector.

  • Sales pitch companies on a daily basis through a variety of forums (email, phone, in-person), demonstrating complete knowledge of the Deliveroo business and technology
  • Attend B2B food events to build relationships and a contact network
  • Oversee the full on-boarding process of a company joining Deliveroo for Work
  • Helping out the Account Manager with the management of our current Deliveroo for Work account

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of Sales experience
  • Be personable and approachable, with the ability to build relationships
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Must be fluent in Dutch, French and English
  • You must be a self-starter, tenacious, and self-motivated. If you don't have these qualities, you won't excel here
