The Role

The Deliveroo rider fleet powers the growth of our business, and without them we wouldn’t be able to bring our customers the best food on demand and help great local restaurants and grocery partners grow.

The Global Head of Rider Marketing will be responsible for defining creative, best-in-class strategies to build our rider fleet across our 12 markets, defining allocation of our significant marketing budget and leading the marketing team for successful implementation. You will work closely with the Insights and Engagement teams to understand our rider fleet, and with internal & external partners to define target audiences, brand identity, messaging, channels and plans for the year to reach prospective applicants throughout their lifecycle and achieve applicant targets. 

Operating at scale in a high growth environment across multiple markets is no mean feat, as such you will be faced with some of the most exciting problems across the food tech space. 


    • Marketing Strategy business owner – Develop and manage the overall rider marketing strategy, ensuring we measurably and sustainably deliver to business needs and enable business growth 
    • Budget Allocation – Define most impactful allocation of budget across various ideas, channels, locations and partners, and articulate effectiveness of spend
    • Project Management – Define implementation plans for the team based on long-term strategies and track progress against milestones and targets
    • Playbook Creation – Draw on central & international market initiatives and learnings to create playbooks for marketing strategies, develop best practices and increase data-driven decision-making 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – work closely with performance marketing, CRM, and other internal and external stakeholder to implement strategic plans
  • Team Management: provide line management and leadership to 2 - 3 direct reports and provide guidance to 3-4 performance marketing and CRM stakeholders

  • Strategic – Senior marketing experience in marketing strategy roles 
  • Excellent communicator – Able to simplify complex insights and convey plans and results in a clear and concise manner to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Empathy – Astute at understanding riders and various stakeholders, building strong relationships and collaborating towards desired goals across seniority levels
  • Adaptable Fixer – Enthusiastic to help, and flexible & resourceful in addressing both big picture and detail-oriented challenges
  • Business Acumen – Commercially astute, comfortable with complex data and budgetting

  • Experience in a top tier consultancy, or fast-growing start up in a strategic marketing role
