The team behind Deliveroo Hop are building a network of stores across London, the UK and other markets. Each delivery store is staffed with a team who have been specially trained to manage the operations efficiently as well as pick and pack orders in record time, with Deliveroo’s 100,000 strong rider network completing all deliveries.

The role 

We’re looking for a Content and Social Media Manager to grow and engage our social community for Deliveroo Hop. We are seeking a social media & digital expert who has their finger on the pulse of what’s trending online, and an idea of how Deliveroo Hop can engage with these trends.


The role will work closely with Comms, Category, Ops, Creative Studio and the rest of the Hop Marketing team to develop social media & email content that builds brand awareness and drives engagement for the new Deliveroo Hop proposition. 


Based in the London HQ office, and reporting to the Global Brand Strategy Manager for Hop, you will be responsible for building out our social media & email strategy and calendar, creating content, monitoring all channels in the UK, and working on solidifying the Hop brand across our international markets. 


What you’ll be doing

  • Building our social media presence from scratch, developing content strategies and a regular posting schedule to reach and engage our target audience across multiple social channels
  • Working with our CRM team to develop a strong lifecycle strategy to engage customers, drive reasons to purchase and create loyalty to the brand and to Deliveroo
  • Driving conversation across all social channels, with a particular focus on consumers, grocery partners, and influencers
  • Managing all published content and day-to-day activities, including drafting copy for social media posts to support campaign assets
  • Monitoring social channels, identifying opportunities for Deliveroo Hop to engage with, and tracking competitor activity
  • Working with our in-house Creative Studio and/or external agencies to develop integrated social & CRM campaigns
  • Evaluating and improving the success of the social media strategy, providing weekly reports to internal stakeholders



The ideal candidate will be a creative and organised marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience working in social media (particularly Instagram and TikTok) and influencer marketing (in-house/agency)
  • In-depth understanding of social media platforms, their requirements, and updates and innovations as they occur
  • Creative and across the latest social media and food trends
  • Excellent knowledge of the influencer landscape in the UK
  • Confident in giving strong creative direction in photography, videography, graphics and copy
  • Exceptional communication and project management
  • Experience using in-platform and social analytics tools to measure campaign performance and implement learnings into future projects.
  • Experience in setting and managing budgets for influencer activity (small, medium and large scale), negotiating with, and contracting, influencers.
  • Problem solver with a can-do attitude, happy to work autonomously
  • Enthusiastic and collaborative team player
