We are looking for a Growth Manager to join our team. This is a rare opportunity to become a critical leader of a rapidly growing, well-funded start-up. You’ll be working closely with the UKI exec team and are responsible for growing a significant portion of Deliveroo’s revenue. Your role will be commercially focused, however you will work cross-functionally with teams including, operations, marketing and product to ensure local success across restaurant, customer and rider metrics. You’ll own creating long-term strategic visions and short-term execution plans for your portfolio of cities. In addition, you’ll be developing and maintaining relationships with the Midlands’ top restaurants. This is an excellent role for a data-driven & commercial individual who enjoys managing teams.
The role will involve:
Owning the strategic vision and developing the operational plan for the Midlands
Manage the city P&Ls to ensure we hit profit targets
Managing, motivating, and ensuring stellar execution from a team of field-basis business development and commercial managers
Achieving financial and growth targets with an understanding of how to-trade off commercial, marketing and operational levers
Being the face of Deliveroo to top restaurant partners - establishing and maintaining key relationships
Improving the Deliveroo customer proposition through data analysis and industry knowledge
Liaising with our restaurant and rider operations teams to drive efficiencies and improve customer outcomes
Working with your local marketing team to accelerate revenue growth
Innovating and presenting new ideas to increase Deliveroo growth and efficiencies
The role requires a strategic mindset, strong execution skills and management experience with a track record of exceeding financial targets as well as:
4-8 years working in commercial focused roles with P&L responsibility. Previous general management skills desired.
Experience managing medium-sized commercial teams, including remote workers
Comfortable handling negotiations with business owners or C-suite operators
Strong business acumen and results orientated
Deep understanding of P&L statements and an ability to trade-off between line items
Self-starter, hard worker and well organised
Effective relationship-building and communication skills whether face to face, through phone or email
Travel is necessary (2-3 days per week)
