The VAT Analyst will support the Indirect Tax Manager in the day to day management of Indirect tax returns and other compliance matters globally

Key responsibilities
● Assist with the VAT compliance process so that Deliveroo always pays and collects the correct amount of VAT globally
● Preparing VAT compliance materials for external advisers including query resolutions to ensure accuracy of tax returns
● Liasing with external advisers to ensure no deadline is ever missed
● Identifying risk areas and reporting this to the VAT manager so that they can be
prioritised and appropriate action can be taken to mitigate these
● Working closely with the AP team to raise tax awareness, improve process
controls and review AP postings
● Build relationships across Deliveroo so that you can deliver tax audit responses
when appropriate
● Work with the VAT Manager on ad-hoc projects

Requirements
● Experience of VAT compliance in EMEA and APAC jurisdictions
● Relevant accounting experience
● CIMA, ACA, ACCA or similar credentials preferred
● Confidence and ability to interact with business stakeholders
● Excellent communication skills to non tax specialists
● Advanced Excel
● Previous exposure to NetSuite advantageous
