When you first think about Deliveroo, you probably think of getting great food to your house in less than half an hour.  Awesome right? But behind the scenes is the real story. This story is one of high growth, huge challenges and an enormous opportunity ahead of us. It began with our founder Will, arriving in London over 5 years ago and finding it almost impossible to order great food, despite the wealth of incredible restaurants in the city.  Fast forward 5 years and we operate in 13 countries with over 50,000 riders who deliver orders from 50,000 restaurants in over 200 cities worldwide.

The Role

We’re looking for a Marketing Director to lead our growth efforts across the UK & Ireland. They will be responsible for driving business impact by developing & implementing holistic, multi-channel growth plans - working closely with the UK & Ireland management team and central marketing functions. This role reports to the Director of Regional Growth and will be based in London.

 

A successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial brand builder. S/he will have a proven ability to think strategically to solve business problems & have a track record of delivering business results through innovative & impactful growth strategies. S/he will be a self starter comfortable with ambiguity in a  fast-paced and ever-changing environment, able to think big whilst paying careful attention to detail. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of growth strategy, plans & campaigns across UK & Ireland. Responsible for developing x-channel plans across the full marketing mix whilst also considering broader growth levers.
  • Build, manage & lead a world-class UKI marketing team of 20+
  • Own marketing and consumer KPIs and growth objectives for UK & IE with ownership of UKI marketing budget with responsibility to demonstrate incrementality & positive ROI on spend
  • Track and share business growth indicators, recognising trends, troubleshooting issues and identifying opportunities to accelerate growth. 
  • Deliver integrated, 360 marketing campaigns through management of local marketing budget, implementing global frameworks locally & engaging central teams on the most efficient activities to fuel growth across channels
  • Define, plan & deliver best-in-class marketing joint business plans with restaurants & partners, marketing led promotional activity & support of New Business initiatives like Editions or Click & Collect. 
  • Ensure the global & UKI Deliveroo vision is appropriately localised to a city or territory level to ensure we become the most known & relevant brand to our target customer. 
  • Lead cross-functional projects with product, operations & commercial to deliver consumer growth
  • Act as a partner to international HoMs & regional leads to share learnings, best practice and support scale campaigns with global relevance

 

You:

  • 10+ years marketing experience running successful insight led growth strategies. 
  • 6+ years of relevant team leadership experience
  • Experience at a top-performing retail/eComm/tech/FMCG company preferred
  • You will have extensive experience of managing significant budgets & deploying plans across a number of complex channels. You will have specific experience dealing with cross-functional teams, managing multiple agencies including creative & media.
