When you first think about Deliveroo, you probably think of getting great food to your house in less than half an hour.  Awesome right? But behind the scenes is the real story. This story is one of high growth, huge challenges and an enormous opportunity ahead of us. It began with our founder Will, arriving in London over 5 years ago and finding it almost impossible to order great food, despite the wealth of incredible restaurants in the city.  Fast forward 5 years and we operate in 13 countries with over 50,000 riders who deliver orders from 50,000 restaurants in over 200 cities worldwide. 

We want to be the definitive food company - the app you go to any time you have a hunger pang. We are transforming the way people think about food. We are providing people with limitless access to different cuisines and restaurants, turning cooking from a chore to a choice, and giving people the freedom to eat what they want, when they want, where they want it. 

We work with riders, restaurants and consumers. We operate one of the most complex three sided marketplaces in the world and we do this in real time. Millions of customers and thousands of restaurants and riders rely on us to match them within milliseconds. The algorithms behind that marketplace are the secret sauce that allow us to deliver our orders in under 30 minutes.

The scale of the opportunity ahead of us is immense. The global food market is valued at £7.7 trillion but only 1% of it is currently online. ROLE

As the scale and complexity of Deliveroo grows, we’re looking for a passionate and intellectually curious B2B Content Marketer to join our expanding SMB team. This is a perfect opportunity to become part of a team responsible for driving the strategic direction of our global business - with the global remit and opportunity to own projects from end-to-end.

 

Role responsibilities

  • Be ultimately responsible for developing and delivering a content marketing plan globally for SMB restaurants

  • Help accelerate and grow inbound channel and sign up rate of restaurant through content led initiatives - tactical as well as always on and programmatic.

  • Come up with bold ideas

  • Write and edit blogs, guides, stories, social posts, webinars, product information, newsletters and anything else you want to get your hands on

  • Help to shape our communications strategy for our Sales teams - emails, case studies, scripts, pitches

  • Work with an in-house designers and or agencies to bring your content to life

  • Be the point of contact and key collaborator with in house Consumer Marketing, PR, Brand, CRM and Business Insight teams and represent the content needs of Restaurant Marketing function in line with overall B2B Marketing Strategy.

  • Carry out analysis of the performance of all new content and make recommendations

  • Run all our social media and manage performances 

Your background

  • Someone with huge passion for building stories and taking pride in their work

  • A real creative soul - someone who’s always got ideas from both the inside and outside of the ‘box’

  • An eagerness to direct both content and social strategies and inform the overall growth marketing strategy

  • Competent in copy writing, proofing and editing

  • You’ll love exciting and educating people by creating a unique voice and personality for a brand

  • Experience in B2B content marketing for 3+ years is essential

  • Someone who’s had exposure to the full marketing mix

  • Experience with Marketing Automation platforms and CRM like Mailchimp, Hubspot, Salesforce Marketing cloud, Marketo (or others)
