When you first think about Deliveroo, you probably think of getting great food to your house in less than half an hour.  Awesome right? But behind the scenes is the real story. This story is one of high growth, huge challenges and an enormous opportunity ahead of us. It began with our founder Will, arriving in London over 5 years ago and finding it almost impossible to order great food, despite the wealth of incredible restaurants in the city.  Fast forward 5 years and we operate in 13 countries with over 50,000 riders who deliver orders from 50,000 restaurants in over 200 cities worldwide.

We want to be the definitive food company - the app you go to any time you have a hunger pang. We are transforming the way people think about food. Business Operations and Commercial Lead 

The Role

Deliveroo’s business development managers, account managers, and partner services functions collectively make up our commercial team.  From signing and on-boarding, to restaurant support, to relationship management and consultancy, we strive to not just be the best-in-class food delivery partner to restaurants, but also a true strategic partner that can add value in so many other ways.  The commercial specialist is data-driven and analytical, looking at how we stack up against our competitors in the food delivery space. The insights learned from these projects will guide and inform our greater commercial decisions and strategy.


More specifically, responsibilities include:

  • Competitive intel tracking, monitoring, and reporting

  • ROI analysis on the various initiatives the team runs to understand effectiveness on growth and profitability

  • General commercial project management (Carousel monetization, FP GMV analysis, budget management i.e. Marketer + free delivery)

  • Work closely with the commercial team to drive best commercial strategy for restaurant partners



  • Minimum of three years work experience

  • Highly analytical - able to digest large amounts of data and distill into concise and actionable insights, and communicate results effectively

  • Be passionate about using numbers to drive strategy, preferably with a proven track record in project management

  • Be commercially minded, always thinking about growth, profitability, and competition

  • Be hard working, proactive, self motivated, and results driven

  • Be a teamplayer, able to work across teams, functions, and people across the entire business

  • Must be fluent in English and Cantonese
