When you first think about Deliveroo, you probably think of getting great food to your house in less than half an hour.  Awesome right?  But behind the scenes is the real story.  This story is one of high growth, huge challenges and an enormous opportunity ahead of us. It began with our founder Will, arriving in London over 5 years ago and finding it almost impossible to order great food, despite the wealth of incredible restaurants in the city.  Fast forward 5 years and we operate in 13 countries with over 50,000 riders who deliver orders from 50,000 restaurants in over 200 cities worldwide.

We work with riders, restaurants and consumers. We operate one of the most complex three sided marketplaces in the world and we do this in real time. Millions of customers and thousands of restaurants and riders rely on us to match them within milliseconds. The algorithms behind that marketplace are the secret sauce that allow us to deliver our orders in under 30 minutes.

The Role

The Local Marketing Associate will be supporting the Italy Marketing Team in order to building & scaling Deliveroo’s field marketing activities in Italy, including:

  • responsibility for city launches marketing plan (360° plan) according to budget and expansion plan of the market

  • community management, in-app marketing and social push, according to the expansion plan  

  • coordination with HQ Team for performance marketing campaigns (briefing, reporting, optimization of the inputs and tracking of the results)

  • hyperlocal activation and digital activities according to the marketing plan

  • coordination of special projects, according to the marketing plan

  • collaboration with our marketing / digital and social agencies

  • monitoring, analysis and reporting of all the activities managed

 

Requirements

The ideal candidate would have the following experience:

  • 2+ years marketing experience, digital marketing focus is preferred

  • Detail oriented executor. You're skilled at planning, organizing, prioritizing and executing simultaneous projects and activities at once. You can prioritize high impact activities and keep complicated projects moving forward

  • A self-starter attitude that’s comfortable with constant change and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven track record in making things happen - delivering results quickly and efficiently

  • A creative problem solver who can think things through analytically

  • Strong data-driven approach and analytics monitoring skills are preferred

  • A proactive, can-do attitude, full of great ideas and able to get stuff done autonomously

  • Experience in a high growth consumer oriented startup a plus

  • Fluent English
