We seek a Junior Jira Cloud Administrator focusing on automation to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage Jira Cloud projects and enhance our toolset with end-to-end automation capabilities.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Jira Cloud Administration:
- Configure and manage Jira Cloud projects, including workflows, screens, fields, and permissions.
- Handle user management tasks, such as permissions, access control, and project roles.
- Implement best practices for organizing Jira projects to enhance team productivity.
ScriptRunner for Jira:
- Write and support basic to intermediate Groovy scripts to automate tasks and enhance Jira functionalities using ScriptRunner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to existing ScriptRunner scripts and automation.
eazyBI Reporting:
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards using the eazyBI plugin to track project metrics and performance.
- Provide advanced support to existing teams for eazyBI configuration and reporting needs, assisting with data analysis and custom visualizations.
Cross-Platform Automation:
- To streamline processes and improve efficiency, develop and implement automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and MS Teams.
- Integrate Jira Cloud with other platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and automation across the toolset.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and enhance existing processes using available tools.
System Maintenance and Support:
- Monitor Jira Cloud performance and provide support to users for system-related issues.
- Assist in Jira Cloud updates, plugin upgrades, and improvements to ensure optimal system performance.
Collaboration and Documentation:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design automation solutions tailored to business needs.
- Document system configurations, automation workflows, scripts, and best practices to support future use and training.
- Train and guide team members on new automation tools and processes to promote best practices.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic understanding of Jira Cloud or a strong willingness to learn.
- Interest in automation tools (e.g., ScriptRunner) and reporting platforms like eazyBI.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with IT systems and Agile/Scrum methodologies (or willingness to learn).
ADVANTAGE:
- Exposure to Atlassian tools (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket) or automation platforms like Microsoft Power Platform.
- Knowledge of scripting (e.g., Groovy) or third-party integrations is a bonus.
- Certifications in Atlassian tools or automation platforms are a plus.
