YOUR ROLE:
As a Senior PHP Engineer on you will dig into the complex but rewarding world of Sports betting and Online gaming, real-time calculation, odds services, CRM and reporting, all at massive scale.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in design and decision taking of technical solution implementation
- Apply software engineering best practices that minimize tech debt
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve various software issues
- Mentor and train new team members
- Design and business insight
- Commit to quality, performance, continuous improvement, and efficiency
- Collaborate with various dev teams
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years working with PHP for server-side development (Middle position)
- 5+ years working with PHP for server-side development (Senior position)
- Fluent in English – communication is key to teamwork and strategy execution.
- Deep understanding of software architecture at both a theoretical and applied level.
- Advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) patterns – you're the MVP in your language.
- You’ve worked with Laravel, Phalcon, Symfony and are comfortable in their environments.
- Experience working with real-time data streams, Sockets, Queues, and APIs – just like handling fast-paced, live sports events.
- Knowledge of how each part of the web stack affects performance, reliability, and user experience.
- Strong understanding of database design (both Relational and NoSQL).
BONUS POINTS (ADVANTAGES):
- Node.js Experience: You know how to expand your playbook with JavaScript on the backend.
- Queues and Streams: Familiarity with RabbitMQ or Kafka – you can handle real-time data distribution like a pro quarterback.
- Caching: Experience with Redis or Memcached to keep performance high and response times quick, like a sprinter off the blocks.
