YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the Architecture Team: Evaluate and break down high-level architecture diagrams, and provide accurate estimates for work items, ensuring clear communication across teams.
- Lead Project Initiatives: Bootstrap complex projects by developing and testing approaches and proofs of concept (POCs). Guide and align engineering teams throughout the active development phase.
- Exemplify Leadership: Lead by example through active participation and guidance during all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Mentor team members and make informed decisions.
- Enforce Standards and Best Practices: Implement and uphold coding standards, integrate the latest technologies, and apply best industry practices within Java engineering teams.
- Solve Complex Problems: Assist in the investigation and resolution of complex engineering problems, utilizing strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Promote Knowledge Sharing: Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration between teams, encouraging continuous learning and improvement.
OUR EXPECTATIONS:
- Minimum of 5+ years of proven experience as a Senior Software Developer, Tech Lead, or in a similar role, demonstrating strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in Java, up to 21, with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Strong knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot, Kafka, and SQL / NoSQL databases. Familiarity with concepts such as distributed caching, scaling, load balancing.
- Demonstrated experience in building and operating high-performance, low-latency distributed systems in the cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills, capable of navigating complex technical challenges.
