VP, Information Technology

Summary:

Interested in making an impact on our fast-growing SaaS company? We have a new opportunity for a VP, Information Technology, to drive our next level of growth and expansion.  We are looking for a seasoned professional with experience in this role, preferably with a publicly traded SaaS company.  The VP would be empowered to transform the organization to align with the expected growth trajectory of the company, supporting a world-class in-office and remote worker experience, a mature but growing security program, a migration from hybrid cloud to a multi-cloud native infrastructure, support for M&A diligence and integration, and management of corporate software.   

The new VP, IT will assume overall leadership responsibilities for IT, in addition to working closely with the CTO and Product Engineering teams to focus on security, cloud strategy optimization, cloud cost management and budgeting, innovation and optimization opportunities, and driving cost-saving initiatives in facilities and corporate software. This role reports to the CTO and will operate out of our Greater Boston Corporate Headquarters located in Framingham, MA.

 

Responsibilities:

Lead all aspects of IT and guide the vision and strategy for systems and technology supporting the organization globally.  These aspects include:

  • Cloud and on prem infrastructure/networking/cost optimization management
  • Cybersecurity
  • SOX and SOC2 compliance
  • In-office and remote worker experience across a global workforce, including desktop support, in-office A/V and telephony, patch management, process automation
  • Corporate software management and cost optimization
  • Collaboration with and support for Global Product Engineering

 

Drive transformational change through developing and aligning the IT strategy and service offerings to business objectives.

Work closely with decision makers cross-functionally to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions with a strong sense of customer service.

Maintains ongoing knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies and identify opportunities for scaling and innovation to ensure long term success and continued future growth.

 

The successful VP of IT candidate will have:

15+ years of relevant experience managing teams delivering infrastructure and systems for multiple locations and managing Cloud/SaaS solutions in both start-up and mature global corporate environments with more than 1,000 employees.

Experience setting strategic vision as it relates to information systems, cloud optimization and IT infrastructure, data security and planning for future growth.

5+ years in an IT leadership role facing off to C-Suite stakeholders and leading global teams.

Deep experience in cloud strategy and cloud cost optimization. 

Demonstrated, progressively responsible, hands-on experience managing computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems.

Ability to lead cross functional, enterprise-wide programs and influence key stakeholders.

Proven experience with transformation and change management, especially in areas of scaling, optimization, and customer service orientation.

Proven leadership ability, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing, global IT teams.

Strong communication and negotiation skills, with experience influencing and collaborating with C-suite stakeholders and leading global teams.

Four year degree from an accredited institution in a technical field, or equivalent job experience
