About the Role:

As a leader inside the video department and the larger Dealer Inspire (DI) marketing organization, the Executive Producer (EP) is responsible for scoping, staffing, managing, scheduling, and directing shoots to deliver custom video products for FUEL: In-Market Video (FIMV), while also working to expand resources fo available for the Post-Production team, and supporting the larger Production resources for CARS, Cars.com (CDC), DI, and DealerRater (DR) B2B marketing efforts (in their spare time). When anything goes off the rails with VIP FIMV customers, the EP is there to take the call and get the team back on track. When a cut doesn’t work, the EP knows how to fix it. When there’s a need for a big idea to expand production offerings, the EP has three.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative:

  • Act as chief production and creative representative for FIMV to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Develop and propose new concepts for FIMV templates to expand and enrich the standard FIMV product offering
  • Write custom scripts to support FIMV custom video requests that have been approved by internal stakeholders

Production Management:

  • Provide accurate estimates on video project scope for internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage a large network of contractors and producers
  • Create all necessary documentation for a successful video shoot, including but not limited to (1) shooting schedules, (2) shot-lists, (3) cue sheets, and (4) talent releases
  • Secure travel, lodging, rentals, and crew — while balancing against multiple shoots, while taking care not exceed video scope or budget
  • Itemize, track, and manage inventory of DI’s owned gear, making recommendations on purchase needs as necessary

Live Videography / Editing

  • Capture audio / visual materials to support FIMV customer projects, including video and photography
  • Edit video deliverables to support FIMV fulfillment as necessary to support internal and external stakeholder deadlines

Leadership:

  • Act as a critical resource for DI and CDC sales executives to support high-value FIMV prospect opportunities
  • Act as a liaison and facilitator between DI video teams and FIMV media teams to maximize FIMV Product impact
  • Act as an SME of the FIMV product lineup, large-scale production, being a voice of the DI Brand
  • Act as an ambassador of the CARS organization, working convivially with all organizations and representatives to build a more integrated CARS team

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Impeccable professionalism and customer service working with FIMV customers and prospects
  • Natural talent for improvisation and problem-solving in high-stress work environments with high customer visibility
  • Experience turnkeying production budgets from $10K–$500K+
  • Demonstrates a keen understanding of the dealership customer story and business needs
  • Outstanding organization and project management skills 
  • High proficiency in video production, including knowledge of film and lighting techniques, camera direction, audio engineering, and proper equipment handling and assembly
  • High proficiency in post-production software and editing techniques, including Adobe® Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects
  • High proficiency in media, video codecs, and compression best-practices — including for application in development environments 
  • Critical attention to detail to ensure that every every frame is compliant with brand, OEM, and product
  • Patience in both accepting and delivering feedback from stakeholders and teammates
  • Enthusiasm in the face of changing project variables
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a fluid and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and analytics skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and competing priorities
