As a Senior Software Product Manager at Bezos Academy, you will help more parents and caregivers create moments that matter by inventing solutions for early childhood education. You will join a founding team that is inventing scalable solutions to challenges in early childhood development. You are a hands-on, impact-driven product leader adept at collaborating with engineers and designers to solve customer problems. Your work will combine digital experiences for caregivers with analog activities for children. With a passion for product management and a thirst for impact, you will expand access to early childhood development programs for families of all kinds.

You have a track record of building first-generation products and experiences that customers love. You work resourcefully across platforms and systems, using technology for impact despite constraints on time and resources. You have a customer-first mindset, working from a basis of insight and imparting this knowledge on others. You are adept at defining problems, resolving ambiguity, and iterating your way to success. You know exceptional software products when you see them and you instill this passion in others.

You will find yourself in a fast-paced, start-up environment where you will focus on inventing, measuring, and iterating for children. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, salaried position.
  • The full salary range for this position in Seattle, WA, is $157,000 to $251,000 per year. The upper third of the salary range is typically reserved for employees who have been in the role for multiple years and have demonstrated strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by qualifications and prior experience.
  • This role includes 15 paid days of vacation, 4 days of paid personal time off, 7 paid days of sick (care) time, 9 paid holidays, 5 paid days off for an organization-wide winter break, and additional time off if required by applicable law. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Eight or more years of relevant experience including five years in technical product management or product development using Agile / Lean methods
  • Prior experience building software or e-commerce businesses
  • A track record of customer obsession, working with insight to solve meaningful problems and deliver successful first-generation consumer products
  • Experience owning roadmaps, conducting research, and engaging customers with a bias for delivering value quickly
  • Deep and successful collaboration with engineering, design, and marketing counterparts by understanding their roles and working collaboratively and transparently
  • Demonstrated personal commitment to designing products optimized for people of all kinds, with effective diversity, equity, and inclusion outcomes
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree in business, engineering, or another relevant field
  • Relentless prioritization, communication, and decision-making skills that enable your team to work with clarity and urgency in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior communication and analytical skills, including a strong ability to clarify and solve ambiguous problems, and think strategically about product plans
  • Direct experience with Shopify or Woo Commerce, data services (e.g. AWS), or customer communication (e.g. Klaviyo or Twilio)
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence people and teams at all levels and backgrounds
  • Experience building accessible, responsive products that allow customers to seamlessly transition devices, activities, or modes
  • Experience with a demographically and economically diverse consumer audience
