About the Opportunity:
Sales Assistant to Senior Partner | $60,000
David Zwirner seeks a full-time Sales Assistant to work alongside one of the gallery’s Senior Partners. This position will involve significant contact with museum directors, curators, and important gallery clients. Discretion and poise are essential. This position will be based onsite Monday-Friday, 10 am to 6 pm. The candidate will occasionally need to work additional hours.
What you’ll do:
- Assist the Senior Partner in scheduling, calendar and inbox management, making travel arrangments, and daily administrative tasks.
- Manage the Senior Partner’s post-sale tasks, preparing and sending invoices and coordinating shipping to the client alongside registration teams. Responsible for driving forward these final steps in the acquisition and sales process.
- Assisting with inventory management, coordinating gallery exhibitions, and supporting artist management duties.
- Assist the Senior Partner in managing and advancing client relationships, including liaising effectively with long-time, important, gallery clients and their teams. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Senior Partners client's interests, artwork requests, client collections, etc.
- Liaise with other gallery staff and teams quickly and effectively for all aspects and responsibilities of the role.
What we would like you to have:
- The ideal candidate will have at least two (2) years of related experience or the equivalent.
- Superior writing skills, with the ability to dialogue with high-level collectors and museum curators.
- Outgoing and friendly personality to interact smoothly with various internal David Zwirner departments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross-departmentally.
- Strong Multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize and anticipate needs.
- Ability to time manage and meet deadlines.
- A thorough working knowledge of contemporary art is required.
