Datto is seeking a GTM Business Information Security Officer. This role will evangelize our security products’ capabilities, our security teams’ acumen and bridge the conversation between our ‘Go to Market’ (GTM) teams and our partners. At Datto, we view our relationships with our customers as a partnership, and as such we refer to our customers as partners. The ideal candidate will desire to help mature the security practices of our partners and provide the necessary feedback to our product teams needed to enable that maturity growth. The GTM BISO is an embedded security expert that will also help ensure alignment between Information Security and GTM teams in order to effectively enable GTM while also managing cyber risk exposures.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders as a security SME for communicating Datto’s security posture and maintaining stakeholder trust
  • Define segment specific marketing plan that supports the GTM (go to market) strategy
  • Plan and host events to educate our current and prospective partners on both the current security landscape as well as our product offerings’ fit in that landscape
  • Assist our sales engineering team in customer engagements
  • Increase the security knowledge of our GTM organization through partnership with our sales education teams
  • Drive cyber security specific strategic initiatives within the GTM function
  • Ensure strategic alignment between GTM and Information Security
  • Assist with market analysis efforts that relate to Information Security
  • Partner with Information Security to help reduce Cyber Risks specific to GTM

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a security leadership role
  • Proven experience educating and maturing markets
  • Proven experience educating a sales organization on security topics
  • Strong cyber security acumen
  • Strong operating knowledge of NIST CSF and CIS frameworks
  • Proven ability to adapt their level of communication on security topics to their audience and meet them at their level of awareness and education, whether it be low and high.
