You will report to the Director, Software Engineering.

Does This Describe You:

We are looking for an experienced QA Manager to lead the Datto Workplace and Fileprotection QA team. The QA Manager shall assure the quality of our solutions and services and make sure that we live up to our high-quality demands.

A Look Inside the Job:

  • Manage and coordinate a team of 5 - 10 QA Engineers distributed in two locations (Denmark and Slovakia)
  • Be part of the Datto Workplace and Fileprotection Engineering Management team and regularly interface with them to determine
    the testing needs and assist in the development and/or support of internal processes
  • Make sure the test strategy, including test tooling, automation frameworks and infrastructure
  • Test surface includes APIs, browser, mobile and desktop applications

About You:

  • You are a computer scientist, IT engineer or similar and you have at least a few years of experience working as QA Manager
  • ISTQB certified Test Manager is an advantage
  • In depth knowledge of testing approaches and concepts, preferably testing distributed systems, and service-oriented architectures
  • Experience in test automation, programming or software development domains
  • Good technical understanding of large-scale distributed systems (cloud-based environments)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences
  • Experience as a people manager, training, mentoring, and educating the team to grow
  • Being self-motivated and results-minded with the ability to operate both independently or within a team environment and with a positive attitude
