Datavant is growing fast.  Really fast.  As we ramp up, the Marketing and Partnerships teams work together to drive all new leads, whether through sophisticated outbound campaigns or by ensuring that inbound leads receive concierge treatment from the moment they first reach out.  

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you are excited to be the first point of contact for potential customers.  You’re ready to develop deep product knowledge, learn customers’ needs in detail, and offer customers an awesome first impression of Datavant.  But above all, you are tenacious.   • Drive outbound effort through cold email and phone outreach, events, and pushing high-value content to relevant Datavant prospects  

  • Serve as first point of contact for inbound leads, and coordinate with the sales team to ensure leads are qualified and converted to live opportunities

  • Support development of scalable marketing and sale development processes and systems, including lead tracking and standardization of both the outbound and inbound workflows

  • Support development of marketing and sales material necessary to drive and convert new leads     


Minimum qualifications

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Analytical thinker who takes a structured data-driven approach to problem solving

  • Intellectually curious individual eager to learn the industry, the product and each of our customers’ businesses

  • Highly organized individual capable of tracking dozens of leads simultaneously, and ensure systematic follow up and responsiveness to client requests

  • Able to operate efficiently in an environment of ambiguity    

  • Some travel required (conferences, etc.)

  • BA/BS degree with strong academic credentials

  • 0-4 years of prior work experience

Preferred qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest in marketing, sales and/or operations

  • Passion for healthcare and/or building world-class software
