• Become a trusted advisor to customers
  • Demonstrate expertise of the Datatron product offering, along with customers’ alternatives
  • Confidently deliver complete demonstrations of Datatron’s product
  • Work with sales, product, and engineering teams to ensure that appropriate expectations are set and customer value is maximized
  • Qualify POCs and gauge propensity to make investments worthwhile for the customer
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers
  • Own the technical aspects of RFP responses
  • Host pre-sales technical implementation calls with prospective customers, including C-level executives
  • Document implementation considerations and create solution design documents for implementation
  • Oversee implementation to ensure a smooth on-boarding experience for customers
  • Give clients’ best practices for testing, deployment, and integration
  • Maintain accurate and timely information in a CRM system


  • Technical degree in hard science, CS, statistics, or data science
  • 3+ years of work experience as a Sales/Solutions Engineer
  • Business acumen
  • Startup experience highly preferred
  • Experience in data/algorithm-heavy environments highly preferred


  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex information for the benefit of different audiences, levels, and functions (engineering, marketing, sales, and finance teams), both in written and spoken form, for both internal and external audiences
  • Takes ownership of time management and organization
  • Demonstrated experience gathering and understanding customer business requirements
  • Demonstrated, deep understanding of the customer’s process of evaluation and decision-making
  • Knowledge of machine learning workflows, pipelines, and engines strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with common data center infrastructure and application delivery models
  • Comfortable deploying on-premises and cloud-based solutions, as well as experience with Linux, Python, Scala, and Java preferred
  • Comfortable traveling as needed in support of sales activities, including customer meetings, trade shows, and Datatron events

Learning: You’ll work with the team to implement learning processes and experiments linked to our strategy, ensuring we measure and reflect on our progress, fail fast, and constantly course-correct. You’ll facilitate learning by tracking relevant news and conversations and shaping hypotheses to guide and document our work.

Relationships: Central to your work will be building our network with diverse and sometimes high-profile external stakeholders. You will help us build systems and suggest efforts to make sure we are building and maintaining the right relationships.

Execution: You will be an integral part of our execution and roll out plans derived from our learnings.
