Who you are:

You're a highly motivated and self-starting individual who has the ability to assist in engagements with our federal civilian clients to help tackle their most difficult data challenges. On a daily basis, our Customer Success team (1) interfaces directly with Dataminr’s federal civilian clients; (2) works closely with these clients to identify their most difficult challenges and leverages the Dataminr platform to solve them; (3) quickly monitors and analyzes our data feeds and breaking news alerts on public safety and emergency response incidents; and (4) keeps up-to-date on key developments in the public safety, public health, emergency response, and international diplomacy spaces and assesses the impact of real-time Dataminr signals.

Responsibilities:

  • Be an expert on Dataminr’s platform and develop a deep understanding of publicly available information to successfully onboard and train new users, learn their objectives, and align accordingly
  • Support the overall performance goals of the Federal Civilian team by maintaining strong client partnerships through scale, training, and engagement
  • Help support a Customer Success Manager with a portfolio of accounts with a primary focus on user retention and growth
  • Work collaboratively with Federal Civilian Account Managers with the mutual goal of developing strategies and playbooks to meet revenue goals of the business
  • Learn client objectives and operational processes; integrate Dataminr into clients’ workflow and recommend best practices
  • Train and support new users on-site or virtually through video or phone teleconference
  • Gather client feedback and clearly articulate client product recommendations for Dataminr product development with the engineering and product teams
  • Forecast potential client use-cases and provide immediate support or remediation
  • Utilize large data/information sets with the goal of extracting insights that will inform the team’s overall strategies
  • Manage multiple end-user groups with varying missions sets in multiple geographic regions
  • Learn from teammates and every customer interaction to continuously develop core customer success skills and competencies

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 2 to 3 years of experience supporting federal civilian agencies in a customer success/account management role with a demonstrated track record of success
  • Knowledge of publicly available information and data analysis efforts of federal civilian organizations, including but not limited to humanitarian assistance, law enforcement, or emergency management
  • Experience onboarding and training users, as well as providing top notch user support
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to a wide range of audiences, including technical and non-technical customers
  • High level of accountability, self-motivated and an ability to handle/execute on multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and a strong focus on delivering the best possible client experience
  • Experience with and adept at conducting data entry and analysis via Salesforce, Google Sheets, and Excel
  • Passion for world events and enjoys being up to date on the day’s news
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Must be willing and able to travel as needed (approx. 25%)
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no immigration sponsorship offered)
