DataGrail is seeking an innovative and passionate in-house Legal Counsel to join us on our journey to transform how brands manage data privacy.

The Skill Set:

  • Drive overall legal strategy while managing day-to-day legal operations
  • Provide counsel to the executive team on a range of compliance, risk management, and corporate governance matters
  • Be the DataGrail Privacy expert to our employees, customers, and prospects 
  • Provide practical legal advice and support across all business functions, including Sales, Operations, Product, and Marketing. 
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of complex agreements by working collaboratively with business and functional teams
  • Manage legal employment policies and policy violation investigations
  • Actively partner in the execution of business development and partnership transactions
  • Manage legal, corporate governance, and compliance efforts 
  • Implement best practices and operating standards 
  • Assist with resolving legal-related disputes with third parties, managing outside litigation resources as necessary.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with all applicable U.S.  laws and regulations by developing and implementing compliance programs.
  • Manage risk management and advise the Executive team on risk management strategies to be implemented.

 

Within 90 Days, You’ll:

  • Get to know DataGrail and DataGrail solutions
  • Immerse yourself  into DataGrail’s positioning and privacy thought leadership
  • Be the legal Business Partner and the main point of contact for all legal matters.
  • Review and evaluate current legal resources and processes and establish best practices.
  • Support all commercial and contractual matters by reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of agreements across the company.
  • Trusted business partner to the executive  team 
  • Partner with the people and TA team on legal employment matters, including employment agreements, performance management, claims, etc.

 

Within 180 Days, You’ll:

  • Have established yourself as the internal subject matter expert, providing ongoing privacy counseling and advice to our business units, and collaborating closely with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Be the external advocate and representative of DataGrail on industry panels, providing thought leadership to the community and building relationships with our customers.
  • Own day-to-day management of all legal matters and relationships with external counsel

 

Within 365 Days, You’ll

  • Continue to identify areas to improve and uplevel the speed and efficiency of the negotiation process.
  • Have established the DataGrail legal strategy
  • Have established yourself as a sought after privacy expert.







Please note that the compensation range below is a guideline and final compensation will be based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies.

$200,000$220,000 USD
