The Role:
As a Senior Development Manager at Datacor, you will be charged with managing an international team of developers in the US, UK, and Costa Rica, as well as overseeing the development of seven distinct software applications for animal feed mills and recipe optimization. You will build a relationship of trust with direct reports that includes coaching, developing and managing employee performance. You will also partner with development and product teams to plan and deliver on dependencies necessary for product roadmaps. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of success in managing and delivering software products on time, within budget, and while meeting quality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Manage contract engineering relationship(s)
- Lead teams in designing, development and integrating software products and systems
- Define, manage, and evaluate team members on goals, development/growth activities, and performance metrics
- Plan and execute software development projects
- Manage and allocate team resources
- Oversee the development process and ensure code quality
- Communicate with stakeholders and keep them updated on project progress
- Identify and resolve risks
- Manage budgets and track expenses
- Mentor and develop team members
- Work with Product Teams to create and manage delivery roadmaps
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date on the latest software development trends and technologies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, engineering, or information technology
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- 3+ years of experience in people management
- Strong technical skills, including programming languages, software development methodologies, and cloud computing platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Ability to solve problems creatively and think strategically
- Ability to adapt to change and manage uncertainty
- Experience with feed mill operations and formulations software is a plus
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies is a plus
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps is a plus
