About the role

Today, teams are drowning in a sea of information that is siloed across hundreds of apps (think Notion, Salesforce, Slack, Gmail ...). Finding information across these silos, and making sense of all of it, takes up most of our time as knowledge workers!

What if we could turn these silos into insights with one click, and bring the power of a company's collective knowledge to every team member's fingertips?

In doing so, Dashworks is on a path to redesign the future of collaboration and knowledge sharing at work. We have reached a pivotal stage in our journey: early adopters are happily using our product, and we are ready to go out of stealth and grow rapidly.

As we transition to this exciting new stage, as our first sales hire, you will have the opportunity to own our sales execution to help bring Dashworks to millions of businesses.

You will directly report to the CEO, and have an opportunity to take on key leadership and also contribute to the overall product, company, and culture at Dashworks. You will help recruit and inspire additional sales team members, and we'll build up the sales development team around you and use the best practices and strategies that you have established.

What you'll work on

  • Drive revenue growth and sales pipeline
    • Your primary responsibility will be to own end-to-end lead generation and sales funnel - identifying promising customer segments, developing customer prospects through website top of the funnel, cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach, and seeing leads through qualification, demoing, starting pilots, and converting them to recurring contracts.
  • Establish sales processes and product feedback loops
    • Establish a programmatic and repeatable approach to sales. Create sales infrastructure (e.g., messaging guidelines, marketing materials, playbook), and continually identify and experiment with new channels and acquisition approaches to accelerate sales.
    • Conduct customer and market research and competitive analysis to inform product roadmap. Surface customer voices that will improve the Dashworks product.
    • We've got no sales playbook yet, so you'll have to create one. We don't have a CRM implemented yet, and you'll help set one up. The personal growth opportunity is unmatched.
  • Co-develop the sales strategy and team
    • Collaborate on the long-term vision and strategy for our GTM with the CEO.
    • Bring on key players to scale our sales team over time and help create a culture of sales excellence.
    • We're creating a new software category, and you'll play a critical role in defining our market position. This is a rare opportunity and needs incredible skill to pull off - that's what excites us, and hopefully, you too!

What we're looking for

  • Relevant experience
    • 3 - 5 years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record of selling SaaS technology solutions to mid-market or enterprise customers.
    • Ideally building core components of a sales system from scratch, and experience working in a small startup environment.
  • You're excited about being on the ground floor of the sales team and are looking forward to the challenges, experimentation, and opportunities that come with it.
  • Affinity with software development - ability to understand and convey complex topics to both technical audiences (e.g., IT and CTOs) and non-technical audiences (e.g., People Ops).
  • You attract great people and have experience growing healthy, high-performing teams.
