This role can be either in person at our New York offices, or work remotely anywhere in the US.

About the role:

Our browser extension is the central piece of the Dashlane user experience on desktop environments. It's right here when you need it, showing up whenever you need to autofill or save data while you are browsing, and providing advanced tools to manage your vault through its embedded web application. It's built upon Open Web Platform and the WebExtensions API, using technologies like Typescript, React, Redux, Webpack, Jest, Cypress, Gitlab CI, ... among others. It's a full-fledged desktop application: to respect our zero-knowledge architecture, a lot of the business logic is happening in the extension background processes and not server-side.

We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to help us build, grow, and lead the teams focusing on our extension.

At Dashlane you will:

  • Help your direct reports to grow and develop as managers, leaders, engineers and teammates
  • Recruit new engineering managers and software engineers, and participate in Dashlane’s effort to be visible in the tech community
  • Support teams and make them autonomous by giving them all the appropriate tools they need to deliver without friction
  • Lead managerial initiatives to improve our current systems and processes in support of the company’s mission
  • Work closely with product and business stakeholders
  • Stay engaged with the browser extension codebase and technologies
  • Help define the direction of the web platform to improve stability, security, and quality of the Dashlane product
  • Work with passionate teams of engineers, product managers, testers, customer support agents, and others in a friendly and multicultural environment

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in people management (ideally in a distributed environment)
  • 1+ years of experience in managing engineering managers or technical leaders (ideally in a distributed environment)
  • Fluency in English

We're Also Looking For:

  • Javascript/Typescript experience
  • Good knowledge of the Open Web Platform API
  • Experience with a company at roughly Dashlane's size and scaling up (100-500 employees)
  • Experience working in a distributed team across multiple timezones

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor required by law to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We are also required to measure our progress toward having at least 7% of our workforce be individuals with disabilities. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had a disability. Because a person may become disabled at any time, we ask all of our employees to update their information at least every five years.

Identifying yourself as an individual with a disability is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer will be maintained confidentially and not be seen by selecting officials or anyone else involved in making personnel decisions. Completing the form will not negatively impact you in any way, regardless of whether you have self-identified in the past. For more information about this form or the equal employment obligations of federal contractors under Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

How do you know if you have a disability?
