Our team in Paris, New York, and Lisbon is united by a strong sense of community and passion for improving the digital experience. Over 15 million users and 20,000 businesses in 180 countries use Dashlane for a faster, simpler, and more secure internet.
About the role
We recently launched an update to our Password Changer functionality - a feature that makes it effortless to replace weak passwords with stronger ones automatically with the click of a button.
This feature works by processing scripts (which we call “recipes”) in order to change someone’s password. The recipes are JSON files containing steps that our technology will then be able to follow in order to automate the change of a password. To learn more about how it works, you can check out our blog post.
We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to start as soon as possible, and who will work directly within the Web Analysis team in charge of the development of our password changer engine. You will be in charge of working on the engine and the recipes to be able to improve our user experience. For instance, some challenges we face are error detection, automatic recipe deactivation when a website changes, recipes we can't write for a website because of a missing technological brick...
This 6-month internship is a great opportunity to learn how to code on a real product, with cutting edge technology on a key project for Dashlane, while being mentored by more senior engineers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ramping up on the topic by writing some recipes, investigating and fixing ongoing problems on the password changer
- Implementing some missing technological bricks to improve our feature and the overall user experience
- Experimenting with new ways and tools to ease the process of writing some recipes and scale
You will be based in France (remote work is accepted), with English as your working language.
We're looking for an intern who...
- Is completing a master degree in computer science or equivalent
- Has a strong interest in data privacy and online security
