About the Role

DAS42 is looking for a Principal Consultant (Telecommunications) to join our team. The Principal Consultant (Telecommunications) will be our industry expert for Telecommunication. This individual will be subject matter expert on cloud data analytics and applications for Telecom businesses. This person will also have a passion for speaking to businesses and helping them to realize how they can drive better business outcomes with more effective data solutions. The Principal Consultant (Telecommunications) will work cross functionally with the Consulting, Delivery, Sales, and Marketings teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Understand client business objectives in the Telecom sector and define how DAS42 can deliver against them with our capabilities and technology partners in the cloud data ecosystem. 
  • Work within sales processes, especially with leads and opportunities within the Telecom sector, to articulate the value of modern cloud data solutions on their business, and that DAS42 brings to our clients.
  • Lead the creation of compelling and informative content that showcases DAS42's expertise in Telecom data analytics to help expand the DAS42 brand. Communicating these ideas to the market via speaking opportunities, blog posts, articles, etc.
  • Research and develop new service offerings and partnerships that strategically advance our business goals. Help the Executive Team, primarily the Field CTO, in developing and aligning cloud data solutions to ensure the strategic direction of projects.
  • Guide technical team leaders on projects, that are responsible for leading the technical execution and management of individual contributors, to be leaders in Telecom data analytics and applications.
  • Understand the Telecommunication industry and related news, trends, pain points and challenges, to ensure our strategic guidance and solutions are based not only in domain expertise but also industry expertise and perspective.
  • Develop DAS42 consultants through training, mentorship, and guidance to become experts in delivering solutions that drive business outcomes for Telecom clients.
  • Spearhead the creation and development of tailored solutions for Telecom clients, leveraging cloud data analytics and applications to address specific business challenges.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create impactful presentations, webinars, and demo materials that effectively communicate the value proposition of DAS42's Telecom solutions.
  • Drive product marketing initiatives by crafting persuasive messaging and positioning for DAS42's Telecom offerings, emphasizing the unique value they bring to clients in the industry.
  • Provide input into the development of sales collateral, ensuring it effectively communicates the value proposition and addresses the specific needs of Telecom clients.

What We’re Looking For

  • A passion for technology and for helping companies solve business problems with data and technology.
  • 5-10 years of client-facing experience in a consulting or services environment selling cloud data analytics to the Telecommunications industry 
  • Deep understanding and expertise with at least one of the following data technologies: Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Databricks, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Matillion, Fivetran, Informatica.
  • Proven ability and passion to solve client pain points and unlock client opportunities using data and analytics.
  • Deep experience contributing to the subject matter expertise on multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to build trusted client relationships with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to attract and retain clients.
  • Demonstrated experience in conceptualizing, designing, and delivering innovative solutions specifically tailored for the Telecom industry, showcasing a track record of solving complex business challenges through technology and analytics.
  • Proven ability to create compelling thought leadership content and other materials that establish DAS42 as a thought leader in Telecom data analytics.
  • BA/BS degree required, ideally in a quantitatively oriented degree (e.g. Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics). Advanced degree a plus.

More about the position:

  • Anticipated Travel: 25%
  • Location Options: Ideal locations include NYC, NJ, Denver, Dallas, Atlanta, but we will consider all qualified candidates in the United States
  • Base Salary Range: $175-225k (actual compensation depends on location and experience)
