The Director of Product is responsible for being the expert in their given product area, developing a deep understanding of the technology and the customer use cases that it solves. They must take responsibility for ensuring that the Darktrace / EMAIL product delivers the greatest possible value to customers. This includes ensuring that the feature set meets customer needs, that the product is operating as desired and expected, and that customers have access to supporting materials which allow them to get the greatest value from their investment.
This is a hybrid role, and the expectation would be to work at least 2 days a week in the Cambridge office.
As a Director of Product, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working closely with developers and technical leads to stay up to date with the latest product features, collaborating with the technical team to define the product roadmap and ensure high quality feature output
- Working closely with the Product Marketing team to ensure accurate and effective messaging of new and existing product capabilities to customers and the market
- Ensuring that our technical go-to-market teams are equipped with sufficient product knowledge to position, sell, deploy and maintain the product in a way which delivers most value to the customer
What experience do I need:
We welcome applications from candidates with a strong understanding of Email Security combined with exceptional communication and team collaboration skills and prior experience in a product management or product-focused role.
The ideal candidate would have some or all of the following:
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking independent decisions as well as having the ability to work cooperatively within a team,
- Experience working with Email Security software, in either a security analyst or product management capacity,
- Awareness of the Email Security market landscape,
- Public speaking skills and experience,
- Strong written communication skills.
